Where We Came From?

Berkshire Automated Solutions was founded in 2026, but its mission derived its roots much earlier. In the early 1930s, four partners founded a plastic fabrication company incorporated under the name Berkshire Plastics. The company struggled to stay profitable in the post depression era until they became an early adopter of injection molding in the early 1950s. Berkshire Plastics utilized the wave of success the new technology brought, as well as a president with a successful sales background, to secure a large volume of profitable injection molding work. This success remained consistent through the early 2000s when the competition from overseas began to force the closure of many of Berkshire Plastics' long term customers and eventually the company itself.

Inspired by the story of Berkshire Plastics, now 20 years later a new company, Berkshire Automated Systems, was created to provide the tools, technology and support necessary for local manufacturing to remain competitive and profitable in today's global economy.
